The Right to Boundaries and Love is a deeply expressive replica of the painting by Finnish artist Minna Pietarinen, created in 2023 for the internationally touring I Was Born a Girl exhibition. This work reflects the essential human right to define one’s own boundaries — emotional, physical, and personal — and the equally fundamental right to experience love that is safe, unconditional, and free from harm.

Through its layered textures and evocative colour palette, the painting navigates the delicate space between vulnerability and protection. It speaks to the courage required to say no, the strength found in saying yes to oneself, and the lifelong journey of understanding where love ends and self-respect begins.
